Tecnostress: significato, rischi, sintomi

Tecnostress, una moderna patologia da stress lavoro-correlato causata dall'uso scorretto, invasivo ed eccessivo della tecnologia.

Craig Brod in un libro del 1984, The Human Cost of the Computer Revolution, definiva così questa sindrome:

a modern disease of adaptation caused by an inability to cope with the new computer technologies in a healthy manner. It manifests itself in two distinct but related ways: in the struggle to accept computer technology, and in the more specialized form of over-identification with computer technology... un moderno disturbo di adattamento causato dall’incapacità di avere a che fare con le nuove tecnologie informatiche in una maniera sana. Si manifesta in due modalità distinte ma correlate: nella difficoltà di accettare le tecnologie informatiche, e nella forma più specifica di super-identificazione con la tecnologia informatica.
